A Little Context...

Hi, I’m Benji.

I’ve spent an unreasonable amount of time building systems. More time than I should have, honestly. It probably started during my decade in the military, I was super OCD about how things were set up, how gear was organized, all of it. When I got out, that energy had to go somewhere.

The gear lists turned into spreadsheets, the checklists turned into Notion databases, and before I knew it I turned into a nerd spending my free time making productivity workflows, personal finance setups, fitness tracking — basically systematizing everything I could.

As time went on I started noticing just how many people are running on basically nothing. No budget, no calendar, forgetting appointments, missing bills, just kind of winging it. And it’s not even a knock on anyone, it’s just one of those things that nobody really teaches you in school. But even a little bit of structure makes a huge difference from finance to fitness and everything in between.

Ironically, I spent so much time building systems that a lot of it ended up being a waste of time in itself. But the upside is I know where the line is now, what actually makes a difference and what’s just “busy work.” Hopefully you can find some use in my lessons learned here.
